Description Abstrak:Kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi telah mengubah cara kita mengakses informasi di lingkungan pendidikan tinggi. Namun, masalah kredibilitas dan kualitas informasi menjadi perhatian utama yang harus diperhatikan oleh sivitas akademika, sehingga diperlukan kemampuan literasi informasi yang memadai untuk mengidentifikasi dan menggunakan sumber informasi. Keterampilan literasi informasi, termasuk kemampuan memanfaatkan informasi, media, dan teknologi, menjadi esensial di abad 21. UPT Perpustakaan UM telah mengidentifikasi bahwa kegiatan orientasi perpustakaan yang telah terlaksana belum sepenuhnya efektif dalam memenuhi kebutuhan literasi informasi sivitas akademika, sehingga dikembangkan program KelasiUM dengan dasar model literasi informasi The Big6. Pengembangan model literasi informasi melalui Program Kelasium menjadi penting untuk meningkatkan literasi informasi mahasiswa. Dengan terselenggaranya program KelasiUM, diharapkan program ini dapat membekali sivitas akademika UM dengan keterampilan literasi informasi yang penting untuk pembelajaran sepanjang hayat.Advances in science and technology have changed the way we access information in higher education environments. However, the issue of credibility and quality of information is a major concern that must be paid attention to by the academic community, so that adequate information literacy skills are needed to identify and use information sources. Information literacy skills, including the ability to utilize information, media and technology, have become essential in the 21st century. The UM Library has identified that the library orientation activities that have been implemented have not been fully effective in meeting the information literacy needs of the academic community, so the KelasiUM program was developed based on the model information literacy The Big6. Developing an information literacy model through the Classium Program is important for increasing student information literacy. With the implementation of the KelasiUM program, it is hoped that this program can equip the UM academic community with information literacy skills that are important for lifelong learning.
