Journals management requires an effective and efficient management to reach its best performance based on national accreditation standard and international indexing institutions. Berkala Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi (BIP), managed by Main Library Universitas Gadjah Mada, has consistently applied instruments and criteria required by the Ministry of Research and Higher Education Regulation Number 9 2018 on Scientific Journal Accreditation Guidelines. BIP is required maintain the quality and journal accreditation with number 51 / E / KPT / 2017 which is valid for five years (2017-2022). This study uses descriptive analysis in understanding the management and publication for academic e-journal, and to review the benefits and the obstacles. In this context, BIP management has improved the quality of governance by adding features of Reviewer, Submission, Editor, and Revision Procedures as well as links to social media Facebook and WhatsApp. Besides, the BIP management plays an active role as editors, reviewers and resource persons in collaborating with related parties, attending seminars, mentoring OJS and FGD, and accelerating accreditation. This study tries to offer a strategy for managing open access journals so that conceptually can be used in understanding the development of continuous scientific journals and maintaining the quality of publications.
