AbstrakPeneliti melakukan penelitian yang berjudul Variasi Inovasi Leksikal Bahasa Melayu Riau di Kecamatan Pulau Merbau. Dialektologi adalah mengkaji dialek khususnya dari segi variasi inovasi leksikal yang terdapat pada dialek Melayu Riau tepatnya di Kecamatan Pulau Merbau. Penelitian ini yang menjadi objek penelitiannya adalah dialek Melayu Riau tepatnya di Kecamatan Pulau Merbau. Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan variasi inovasi leksikal dan bagaimana perbedaan dan persamaan inovasi leksikal tersebut. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif.Kata kunci: Variasi Inovasi Leksikal, Bahasa melayu Riau, Kecamatan Pulau Merbau.AbstractResearchers conducted the research entitled “innovative-varriation towards Riau Malay language lexical in the district of Merbau Island. Dialectology analyzed dialect especially in lexical Innovative-varriattion which can be found in the dialect of Riau Malay Language in the district of Merbau Island. The object of the research is its dialect and the purpose of the research is to describe lexical innovative varriattion and what are the differences and similarities of the lexixal innovation. The method of the research is descriptive-qualitative. Key Words: Lexical innovative varriation, Riau-Malay Language, Distric of Merbau Island
