Description Abstract: One common problem faced in library services is the variety of characters or patterns of behavior of visitors. For the effectiveness of the services provided, librarians are expected to be able to understand the nature of service to users, the rights and obligations of visitors, how to deal with various characteristics of users, and the importance of nonverbal communication carried out in services in the library.Keyword: Character Reader, Library ServiceAbstrak: Satu masalah umum yang dihadapi dalam pelayanan di perpustakaan adalah beragamnya karakter atau pola tingkah pemustaka.  Untuk efektifnya pelayanan yang diberikan, pustakawan diharapkan dapat memahami tentang hakikat pelayanan kepada pemustaka, hak dan kewajiban pemustaka, cara menghadapi berbagai karakter pemustaka, serta pentingnya komukasi nonverbal dilakukan dalam pelayanan di perpustakaan.Kata Kunci: Karakter Pemustaka, Layanan Perpustakaan
