Description Abstract: Librarians as knowledge bases and have the task of educating the life of the nation are required to continue to play a role in increasing public information literacy. People who are still in the pre-information stage become thoughtful for librarians to be assisted towards the information society. While those who have entered the information society category must also be considered for their information needs. Any literacy, including information literacy is essentially the responsibility of every citizen, and librarians are only one profession that can support the achievement of the literacy.Keywords: Librarian, Information LiteracyAbstrak : Pustakawan sebagai garda pengetahuan dan memiliki tugas mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa dituntut untuk terus berperan dalam peningkatan literasi informasi masyarakat.  Masyarakat yang masih tahap pra informasi menjadi pemikiran mendalam bagi pustakawan untuk dibantu menuju masyarakat informasi. Sedangkan yang telah masuk pada kategori masyarakat informasi harus juga diperhatikan atas kebutuhan informasi mereka Literasi apapun, termasuk literasi informasi pada hakikatnya adalah tanggungjawab setiap warganegara, dan pustakawan hanyalah salah satu profesi yang dapat mendukung pencapaian literasi tersebut.Kata kunci : Pustakawan, Literasi Informasi
